Description:
The St. Vrain National Protection Area includes the Buchanan Pass Trail , lands around the Middle St. Vrain Trailhead, and an unnamed ridge extending eastward from Saint Vrain Mountain. The major landmark is a rock formation called “The Ironclads.”
The proposal includes a small addition to the Indian Peaks Wilderness near Allenspark to extend the boundary to a road and include the full extent of the Meadow Mountain Trail in the Wilderness.
