Location: on the southwestern corner of the Grand Mesa, just south of the Lands End Road
Description:
This roadless area offers a variety of singletrack trails near Delta and Grand Junction. It is an important source of fresh water and needs to be protected from further road building. It also forms a vital ecological connecting corridor linking Grand Mesa to the Gunnison River and Uncompaghre Plateau. Therefore, CPP recommends the stringent safeguards offered by a National Protection Area for Kannah Creek.
